FAQ


There are some designers you carry that I love, but you show no products available for them. Can I still get items by them?

Yes, there are a handful of designers that don’t show products available.  This is usually due to one of the following reasons:

  • We’re a seasonal business and we haven’t had time to photograph and load the available items!  Please contact us at shop@distractionsaspen.com and we’ll be happy to get you info ASAP.
  • We’re not allowed to sell some designers online.  Again, please contact us at shop@distractionsaspen.com and we’ll be happy to work with you one on one.

Is everything shown for sale definitely available?

No.  Given the unique nature of our merchandise, ALL items are subject to availability.  If for some reason you place an order for an item that is no longer available, we will notify you immediately and refund the amount charged.

I’m not sure about the fit of the item – what should I do?

Please refer to our general size chart and note any sizing variations mentioned in the item description.  However, given the unique nature of our items, if you’re in doubt please contact us at shop@distractionsaspen.com before placing your order.

How will my package be delivered? And do I have to sign for it?

Packages will be sent via UPS, and unfortunately, we cannot ship to PO boxes. Please note there can be up to a 48 hour delay to fully process your order, and your items will ship via your selected shipping speed once processing is complete. For expedited shipping, a signature is required. At this time we do not offer Saturday delivery. If UPS is unable to deliver a package due to an incorrect address you entered, or many failed attempts to deliver, we unfortunately will not be responsible for the cost of re-shipping the merchandise back to you.

Can I return items ordered online?

Yes, but you must follow these procedures:

  1. Please email us at returns@distractionsaspen.com within 3 days of receiving your merchandise with your return request to receive a return authorization number (RA#).
  2. Upon receiving your RA#, goods must be immediately shipped back to Distractions to reach us within 2 weeks of the original purchase date.  Sorry, Distractions is not responsible for the cost of shipping your returns back to us.
  3. ALL merchandise for returns must be in original condition, unworn, with all tags attached.  All shoes must be in their original boxes with no markings on the soles, and all handbags should have tags and dusters intact.

NOTE: There are NO RETURNS on jewelry, and SALE merchandise, or any items bought at a discount via a coupon markdown code.

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet our standards, and we cannot accept any returns without an RA#.

Do you ship internationally?

Distractions has partnered with a trusted third-party company, International Checkout, to fulfill orders WORLDWIDE for our International customers. Simply put the items you wish to purchase in our Shopping Cart and choose the “International Checkout” option. International Checkout will process your order, including billing, shipping and customer service. Once your order is completed, all inquiries should be directed to International Checkout at support@internationalcheckout.com.

For international orders, how are customs and duties handled?

For international shipments, your order may be subject to duties and taxes once it arrives in your country.  You can pay for these directly through your International Checkout process or choose to handle them yourselves.  For further information about customs or duties, please contact support@internationalcheckout.com.

Can I return items ordered internationally?

Yes, but you will need to follow the same return procedures listed above with the following exceptions/additions:

  1. After receiving your RA#, you will have to ship the goods directly back to us to arrive within 30 days of your original purchase.
  2. You are responsible for all shipping, duties and fees for the return of any items to us.

Why is the store named “Distractions”?

The name comes from a quote by Carolyn Bessette Kennedy:

“Fashion is a distraction.”  We all lead busy lives filled with lots of “distractions” — family, friends, work, play, and yes, fashion.  Come and be distracted…..
